BBB takes applicationsfor 2003 Torch Awards
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Better Business Bureau serving Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties is accepting applications for its 2003 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Presented annually, the Torch Awards recognize companies that set high ethical standards in their business practice.
Participation is open to all for-profit businesses serving retail and wholesale markets that have been in business for at least three years. All companies nominated must be in good standing with the BBB, but BBB membership is not required. Nonprofit organizations are not eligible, but an award is offered in that category.
The nomination deadline is Feb. 28, and a dinner to recognize the winners will be scheduled at Mr. Anthony's in the spring.
