Dec. 22
Auto theft: A car was stolen from the Ground Round parking lot, 7463 South Ave.
Theft: Someone stole a lighted spiral Christmas tree and manger decoration set from the front yard of a residence in the 1700 block of Palo Verde Drive.
Criminal damaging: A man discovered a window to his office smashed in the 900 block of Trailwood Drive.
Theft: Police arrested a 46-year-old Girard man on a theft charge after a garbage can, two telephones, an answering machine and a cordless phone were stolen from Lowe's department store, 1100 Doral Drive.
Warrant: A 25-year-old Boardman man was arrested on one count of failure to appear in court to face a tax evasion charge.
Warrant: Police arrested a 43-year-old Boardman man and charged him with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of driving under a suspended license.
Theft: Police arrested two Austintown girls, ages 11 and 12, on a theft charge after six pairs of earrings and a necklace were stolen from Afterthoughts in the Southern Park Mall.
Vandalism: Someone drove a vehicle through the front yard of a residence in the 6500 block of Glendale Avenue.
Theft: A Christmas tree was stolen from a front yard in the 6600 block of Appleridge Drive.
Assault, theft: An Austintown woman reported being struck in the back of the head after someone stole her purse containing $400 in the Giant Eagle parking lot, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Two pairs of kids' black boots were stolen from Payless Shoesource in the Southern Park Mall.

Stolen property: During an investigation, police determined a weapon used in a possible suicide attempt was stolen.
Theft: An employee at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, reported seeing a 14-year-old girl put on a pair of tennis shoes and leave the store without paying for them.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet missing and that it contained various credit cards that were used without permission.
Theft: A temporary license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Southern Park Mall.
Possible theft: A man alleged an employee at Circuit City, 7230 Market St., deliberately kept his Ohio driver's license and refused to return it to him during a transaction.
Theft: An employee at T.R. Equipment Rentals, 4627 Market St., reported a woman rented an appliance dolly and failed to return it.
Theft: Police arrested a 14-year-old Salem girl on a charge of being an unruly juvenile by way of theft after three earring sets were stolen from Claire's Boutiques Inc. in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man in the 5000 block of Tam-o-Shanter Drive reported his Christmas tree stolen.
Theft: A woman reported someone stole $800 to $900 from her purse while she shopped at the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man reported a cellular phone stolen while he was at Target department store, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen while she shopped at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: An 18-year-old Boardman woman was arrested and charged with theft after a pack of cigarettes was stolen from Giant Eagle.
Theft: Police arrested a 23-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after a purse and $92.50 worth of miscellaneous clothing was stolen from Gabriel Bros.
Arrest: A 27-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a count of failure to appear in court to face a charge of driving under a suspended license.
Assault: Police arrested a 25-year-old Boardman man on an assault charge after a man in the 100 block of Lemans Drive alleged the suspect assaulted him.
Theft: Police arrested three Youngstown girls, two age 14 and one 15, on a theft charge after $240 worth of miscellaneous clothing was stolen from the J.C. Penney store.
Dec. 24
Warrant: A 27-year-old Youngstown man was arrested and charged with failure to appear in court.
Arrest: Police arrested a 35-year-old Prospect, Pa., man on a charge of taking the identity of another and on seven theft counts after a Cortland man alleged the suspect used the victim's identity to fraudulently obtain a birth certificate and power of attorney document. The Prospect man also is accused of fraudulently opening several accounts and receiving merchandise from various Boardman businesses.
Arrest: A 21-year-old Boardman man was arrested on a charge of sexual imposition.
Stolen check: A Market Street man reported someone stole a $214.15 personal check and passed it at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 57-year-old Youngstown man at the Southern Park Mall and charged him with violating a protection order.
Attempted breaking and entering: An employee at Cardsmart, 431 Boardman-Canfield Road, called police after discovering someone tried to pry open a storage door.
Theft: Police arrested a 17-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge after two diamond bracelets and two sapphire earrings were stolen from Kaufmann's department store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A duffel bag, cellular phone, makeup box and $200 in currency were stolen from the bedroom of a residence in the 8100 block of Hitchcock Road.
Domestic violence: A 45-year-old Boardman man was arrested on a domestic violence charge after a Homestead Drive woman reported her daughter was a victim of domestic violence.
Theft, criminal damaging: An in-dash compact disc player was taken from a vehicle and its driver's-side door window broken while it was parked at the Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Blvd.

Assault: A 15-year-old Campbell boy was arrested and charged with assault after a man reported the boy assaulted his nephew.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle had its passenger-side door window broken and its windshield cracked while parked in the 400 block of Argyle Avenue.
Theft: A man reported someone stole an item from his jacket while he was at BW-3 in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A woman reported a box containing various Christmas clothes was stolen from the front porch of her residence in the 7400 block of East Parkside Drive.
Theft: Someone stole an undisclosed amount of cash and number of checks from a store counter at the J.C. Penney store.
Theft: An Ohio operator's license, Visa card and MasterCard were stolen from a purse in the 100 block of Forest Garden Drive.
Dec. 27
Drugs: After conducting a traffic stop, police arrested a 19-year-old Boardman man on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was charged with drug abuse and having expired license plates.
Vandalism: A woman discovered someone flattened two of her vehicle's tires in the 100 block of Stadium Drive.
Theft: A woman reported her cellular phone stolen while she was at Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown woman on two counts of receiving stolen property.
Theft: A 50-foot extension cord, a receiver for a tow ball device, a tow ball and a slide bar were removed from a residence in the 10 block of Erskine Avenue.
Dec. 28
Theft: A 28-year-old Youngstown man was arrested and charged with theft and possession of criminal tools after a man's leather coat, a suede coat and two security wires were stolen from J.C. Penney.
Theft: A blow-up Christmas tree ornament was removed from the yard of a residence in the 700 block of Maple Ridge Drive.
Vandalism: A woman in the 5000 block of Tippecanoe Road reported someone drove a vehicle through her yard.
Credit-card fraud: A Greenville, Pa., woman reported her purse containing several checks was stolen while she shopped at Target, and that her debit card was used to make numerous fraudulent purchases.
Assault: A man reported three people assaulted him while they were in a parking lot in the 900 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Assault: Police discovered a woman lying in the BW-3 parking lot; she reported someone hit her in the back of the head and stole her purse.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 42-year-old Boardman man on a domestic violence charge after a woman in the 400 block of Garden Valley Court reported he assaulted her during an argument.

Criminal mischief: A woman discovered Christmas lights on the exterior of her residence tampered with in the 900 block of Augusta Drive.
Theft: An Ohio license plate was stolen from a vehicle while it was in the Kmart parking lot.
Vandalism: A man reported someone damaged a Christmas decoration in the front yard of his residence in the 800 block of Oakridge Drive.
Identity theft: A man in the 900 block of Auburn Hills Drive reported someone opened a credit card account in his name and made two fraudulent cash advances totaling $320.
Criminal damaging: A lighted sled and deer decoration, a lighted star ornament and two candy cane Christmas sets were damaged in a front yard in the 200 block of Wolcott Drive.
Criminal damaging: Two lighted reindeer Christmas decorations were toppled and tossed in a yard in the 10 block of Banbury Drive.
Criminal mischief: Four holiday light sets and various Christmas statues were overturned and damaged at a residence in the 1000 block of Westport Drive.
Criminal damaging: Someone damaged a vehicle in a driveway in the 600 block of Augiline Drive.
Threat: A woman in the 4800 block of Erie Street reported her husband threatened to kill her during an argument.
Breaking and entering, theft: Someone broke into The Flaming Ice Cube, 1449 Boardman-Canfield Road, and stole a laptop computer with a DVD player, a digital camera and a pocket pilot organizer.
Theft: A man reported a pair of basketball shoes was removed from a rental locker at the Skate Connection, 7080 Tiffany Blvd.
Criminal damaging: A pair of lighted candles, two flood lights and four holly leaf Christmas decorations were damaged at a residence in the 400 block of Presidential Court.
Criminal mischief: A Christmas decoration was uprooted near the road of a residence in the 30 block of South Cadillac Drive.
