BOARDMAN -- The Holiday Inn Boardman has received the Six Continents Hotels Torchbearer Award, the hotel chain's most prestigious award for quality service. The Boardman inn, which had received the award eight times before, is one of 62 properties recognized with the Torchbearer this year out of the company's 3,300 hotels. Brent Reynolds, general manager, accepted the award, and the hotel is owned and operated by the DeBartolo Property Group, LLC.YOUNGSTOWN -- Humility of Mary Health Partners' oncology program has been approved as a Network Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, one of just four health care organizations nationwide to earn the distinction. The NCP approval recognizes HMHP's quality of care on three levels, and the health care system must undergo an on-site review every three years to maintain the designation. Dr. Antoine Chahine is medical director for medical oncology and chairman of the HMHP cancer committee.AUSTINTOWN -- Marcus Thomas LLC, an integrated communications firm with offices in Cleveland and Austintown, won 26 awards in the Cleveland ADDY competition last week, an event sponsored by the American Advertising Federation to recognize creative excellence in advertising. The agency took home three of the five Judges Choice awards, two gold ADDYs and a silver ADDY.
