Courses: Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links (6,816 yards, par 72), Spyglass Hill Golf Course (6,858 yards, par 72) and Poppy Hills Golf Course (6,833 yards, par 72).
Purse: $5 million. Winner's share: $900,000.
Television: USA (Today-Friday, 3-6 p.m.) and CBS (Saturday-Sunday, 3-6 p.m.).
Last year: Matt Gogel won his first tour title, two years after losing a seven-stroke lead to Tiger Woods in the final seven holes. Gogel holed a 25-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole and won when Pat Perez closed with a triple bogey.
Last week: Canada's Mike Weir won the Bob Hope Classic for his fourth tour title, birdieing the final three holes for a two-stroke victory over 49-year-old Jay Haas.
CHAMPIONS TOUR
Royal Caribbean Classic
Schedule: Friday-Sunday.
Course: Crandon Park Golf Club (6,893 yards, par 72), Key Biscayne, Fla.
Purse: $1.45 million. Winner's share: $217,000.
Television: The Golf Channel (Friday-Sunday, 1:30-4 p.m., 8-10:30 p.m.; Monday, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.).
Last year: John Jacobs won the rain-shortened tournament, beating Tom Watson, Bruce Fleisher and Isao Aoki by a stroke.
Last week: Dana Quigley won the MasterCard Championship in Hawaii, beating Larry Nelson by two strokes. Quigley has played a record 202 straight events, winning eight times.
