XCHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Mary J. Amatore of Charlotte, N.C., and Jeffrey F. Ramsey, 1707 White Pond Lane, Waxhaw, N.C., were married at 5 p.m. Jan. 4 during a private ceremony at Providence Presbyterian Church.
The bride is a daughter of Rosemarie J. and Duane L. Wallace Sr., 1714 Laurie Drive, Austintown. Mr. Ramsey is a son of Betty Ramsey, 5437 Dunedin Lane, and the late Thomas C. Ramsey Sr.
The Rev. Charles W. McCanles officiated, and a reception was held at Firethorne Country Club in Marvin, N.C.
The couple honeymooned in Key West, Fla., and are living at the Waxhaw address.
A mermaid-style gown of chiffon was worn by the bride. It featured a sleeveless bodice and sweetheart neckline with a cowl drape that fell under the bustline. The bodice and straps were enhanced with Swarovski crystals, and the skirt fell to a sweep train.
Her twin sister, Jean M. Snell of Bradenton, Fla., was matron of honor. She wore a black gown.
The duties of best man were shared by the groom's sons, Ford and Evan Ramsey, both of Waxhaw.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, Mrs. Ramsey is employed as vice president of wealth management at Wachovia Bank.
Her husband holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's in structural engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He is president and chief operating officer of Perigon in Matthews, N.C.
