Ex-bank teller faces felony theft charges

NILES -- A Warren woman is scheduled to appear in municipal court at 9 a.m. Monday on felony theft charges.
Kimberly Myers, 23, of 2908 Williamsburg N.W., is accused of stealing a total of $5,000 on two occasions from her employer, Farmers National Bank.
Myers worked as a teller in the drive-through at the branch bank at 170 E. State St. Police said Myers' drawer was short $4,000 Oct. 29 and $1,000 short Dec. 31.
According to police reports, Myers turned in paperwork at the end of her shift Dec. 31 indicating her drawer had the correct amount in it. When a manger conducted an audit Jan. 3 -- the next day Myers worked -- the discrepancy was noted.
After an internal investigation, bank officials filed a report with police Jan. 7.
Myers was arrested Jan. 27 and arraigned on two felony theft charges. She is free on bond.
