Donations soughtfor boy who drowned
BOARDMAN -- Friends of a woman whose 2-year-old boy drowned in a bathtub in September are asking the community to donate money to help pay for the boy's headstone and funeral.
Noah Richard Brown, who had cerebral palsy, died in a plastic bathtub at his 1400 Country Club Lane home. Maria Conrad, the boy's mother, received a phone call during the bath and when she returned, he was face down in the tub water and not breathing. He died at Beeghly Medical Park. The death has been ruled accidental.
Conrad wants to use the money collected to purchase a headstone for Noah and to pay off the cost of his funeral, said Stephanie Matricardi, a family friend. Donations are being accepted at any Sky Bank location. Donors need to tell bank tellers that they are donating money to the Noah Richard Brown Fund.
