Key matchup: Rams WR Torry Holt vs. Lions CB Dre' Bly. Holt is NFL's top receiver this season, and was voted to Pro Bowl squad. He leads league with 1,642 yards receiving and 112 receptions. He also has 12 TDs receiving and is most potent threat on fast St. Louis receiving corps. Bly is tied for fifth in NFL with six INTs, one of which he returned for TD.

Key matchup: Jets' front seven vs. Dolphins RB Ricky Williams. Jets have one of NFL's worst rushing defenses, allowing 147.5 yards per game (only Raiders and Chiefs are worse). They've allowed 16 TDs rushing and an NFL-worst 130 first downs rushing. They're facing NFL's biggest workhorse. Williams tops league with 372 carries, although his average is down to 3.5 yards per rush. In three games against Jets with Dolphins, Williams has rushed for 329 yards and two TDs.
Streaks, stats and notes: Dolphins cannot make playoffs. ... Dolphins DE Adewale Ogunleye leads AFC with 141/2 sacks. Ogunleye and DE Jason Taylor (111/2 sacks) form NFL's top sacks duo with 26. ... Jets WR Santana Moss had five catches for 142 yards and one TD in last meeting. Moss starred at University of Miami and is Hurricanes' all-time leading receiver with 2,546 yards.

Key matchup: Bears MLB Brian Urlacher vs. Chiefs RB Priest Holmes. Urlacher, one of bright spots on Bears, was selected for his fourth Pro Bowl. He'll be busy trying to contain Holmes. Holmes leads NFL with 25 TDs, all rushing, which ties Emmitt Smith's 1995 single-season record. Only Rams K Jeff Wilkins has more points (155 to Holmes' 150). He is ranked eighth in NFL with 1,370 yards rushing and is second among RBs with 684 yards receiving.

Key matchup: Jaguars' defense vs. Falcons QB Michael Vick. Last week, Jaguars showed vulnerability to improvised plays as Saints scored 75-yard TD on game's final play following a long pass reception and three laterals. Defenders missed several tackles on play, but were saved by missed PAT in one-point win. They will need to be more careful against the agile Vick, who can turn simple dropback pass into weaving dash through secondary.
Streaks, stats and notes: Jaguars rookie QB Byron Leftwich, drafted No. 7 overall out of Marshall, has TD (passing or rushing) in 12 of 14 career games. ... Falcons WR Peerless Price has catch in 65 games in row.

Key matchup: Colts QB Peyton Manning vs. Texans QB David Carr. Both starters in this game were drafted No. 1 overall. Manning was taken in 1998 out of Tennessee and Carr was drafted in 2002 out of Fresno State. Manning has matured into one of NFL's top passers. He leads league with 4,047 yards passing and is second with 100.3 passer rating. His 28 TDs passing top AFC. Carr has improved in his second season.
Streaks, stats and notes: Colts have clinched playoff berth. They can clinch division title with win or Tennessee loss vs. Tampa Bay. ... Colts have played 24 straight regular-season games without back-to-back losses, longest streak in NFL. at 6-1, they are AFC's best road team.

Key matchup: Cowboys DT La'Roi Glover vs. Saints RG LeCharles Bentley. Glover played for Saints for five seasons, and was productive member of New Orleans' D-line. He was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl this season. He has four sacks and is also good against run. Bentley has been clearing holes for NFL's third-leading rusher, RB Deuce McAllister, for most of season, just his second in NFL. He was chosen for his first Pro Bowl for his work in 2003, and should see time lined up across from Glover.
Streaks, stats and notes: Cowboys have clinched their first playoff berth since 1999. They can get first-round bye with win and Eagles loss against Redskins. ... Cowboys' defense leads league, allowing 251 yards per game. ... McAllister and Bentley are Saints' only Pro Bowl representatives.

Key matchup: Buccaneers DE Simeon Rice vs. Titans QB Steve McNair. Using combination of size and speed, Rice has 15 sacks this season, second best in league. McNair is one of NFL's top passers, although he has been hampered by injuries in recent weeks. Titans have allowed only 25 sacks in 15 games, tied for seventh fewest.
Streaks, stats and notes: Titans have clinched playoff berth and can win division with win or tie and Colts loss against Texans. ... Defending Super Bowl champions cannot make playoffs; last time both teams from the previous year's Super Bowl made the postseason was 2000, when Rams and Titans reached playoffs and lost their first games.
CAROLINA (10-5)at NEW YORK GIANTS (4-11)

Last meeting: Panthers beat Giants 27-17 on Nov. 10, 1996, at Carolina.
Key matchup: Panthers coach John Fox vs. Giants' defense. Fox was Giants defensive coordinator from 1997-2001, a span which included shutout win in 2000 NFC championship game. Now, he'll take potent rushing attack into Meadowlands and try to devise game plan to defeat some of his former players. Panthers RB Stephen Davis is third in NFC with club-record 1,387 yards rushing and also has eight TDs rushing. Giants allow 119.9 yards per game on ground.
Streaks, stats and notes: Two years after going 1-15, Panthers have clinched first division title since only time they went to the playoffs -- 1996. ... Davis needs 45 yards to equal career high set in 2001 with Redskins. His seven 100-yard games in 2003 are career best and his team has 19-6 record when he rushes for 100. He has three 100-yard games against Giants.
MINNESOTA (9-6) at ARIZONA (3-12)

Key matchup: Vikings WR Randy Moss vs. Cardinals CBs Renaldo Hill and David Barrett. Moss is one of game's most dangerous vertical threats. He is second in NFL with 106 receptions and 1,576 yards receiving, a career best and team record. He leads league with 16 TD catches, more than the total for eight NFL teams. Cardinals have struggled in most aspects this year, including pass defense.
Streaks, stats and notes: Vikings can clinch playoff berth if Seattle loses in San Francisco. They win NFC North with a victory over Cardinals. ... Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin already set rookie record with 96 receptions. He has 1,350 yards receiving, third best in league, and needs 124 to surpass Bill Groman's rookie record, set with Houston in 1960. Cardinals' other rookie WR Bryant Johnson has 33 catches for 416 yards.
DENVER (10-5) at GREEN BAY (9-6)

Key matchup: Denver secondary vs. Packers QB Brett Favre. Last Monday, playing the day after his father died in Mississippi, Favre threw for 399 yards and four TDs against defending AFC champion Raiders. He's thrown 20 INTs this season, but that might not be problem against Broncos, who have NFL-low eight INTs. Broncos allow only 181.6 yards passing per game. Packers average 209.1 yards passing per game.
Streaks, stats and notes: Packers can clinch playoff berth in several ways, among them a Seattle loss in San Francisco, or with a win and a Cowboys win. Packers can win NFC North with a win and a Minnesota loss or tie against Arizona. ... Broncos clinched playoff berth last week and have not missed playoffs three years in a row since 1980-82.
OAKLAND (4-11) at SAN DIEGO (3-12)

Last meeting: Raiders beat Chargers 34-31 on Sept. 28 at Oakland.
Key matchup: Oakland defense vs. Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson. It takes more than a good front seven to contain Tomlinson, and Raiders have struggled against him. In last three games against Raiders, Tomlinson has 397 yards rushing and two TDs. Tomlinson ranks second in league in total yards from scrimmage with 2,110.
