GIRLS BASKETBALL Donatelli paces Lowellville win



The junior center scored 20 points in the Rockets' 54-39 win over Struthers.
LOWELLVILLE -- Dana Donatelli, a 5-foot-10 junior post player, scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Lowellville High girls basketball team to a 54-39 win over Struthers Monday.
Donatelli added 11 rebounds for the Rockets (3-2).
Kaitlin McCarthy added nine points and seven assists while Amanda Nero hit for nine points.
Allison Ginnetti scored 15 points for the Wildcats (1-4) who trailed 35-18 at the break.
Poland 56, Lakeview 27
POLAND -- Steffi Graf, Erin Hawkins and Nicole Costello scored 17, 10 and 10 points respectively for Poland (4-2).
A 17-point second quarter put Poland in front 26-12 at the half.
Natalie Sudzina scored eight points for Lakeview (2-4).
Columbiana 64, Chaney 21
YOUNGSTOWN -- Lisa Simon poured in 28 points to lead Columbiana (6-0), while Stacey Cross and Cara Hardenbrook added nine points each and Carly Washinko eight.
Chaney (1-5) was led by Tiearra Jones with eight points and Quiana Faison with 11 rebounds.
Brookfield 65, Rayen 58, OT
BROOKFIELD -- Raquel Pasquerilla scored six of Brookfield's 11 points in overtime on two 3-point goals as the Warriors pulled away from Rayen, which only had four points in the extra session.
Pasquerilla finished with 16 points, including four 3-point goals. But Kaitlyn Nasci led Brookfield with 18 points, 15 of them coming in the first half. Raquel Brenner added 14 points.
Rayen was led by Taniesha Holland with 17 points while Ashley Myers and Kenysha Tennant added 11 each and Taryn Perkins nine and Rilonda Neal eight.
Mooney 52, Oak Glen (W.Va.) 29
YOUNGSTOWN -- Gina Brunetti scored 12 points while Bridget Kelly, Amber Bodrick and Dana Palazzo added eight points each, as Cardinal Mooney snapped a two-game losing streak.
The Cardinals (2-4) took a 26-13 lead at halftime, and expanded it to 38-17 after three quarters. They had a 23-11 goal advantage.
Sammy Elder had eight points for Oak Glen.
Windham 44, Newton Falls 41
WINDHAM -- Ali Roach scored 14 points to lead the Bombers.
The Tigers (1-5) got a season-high 25 points from Lindsey Calland.
Badger 41, Southington 36
KINSMAN -- Samantha Bonar scored 13 points and pulled in seven rebounds to pace the Braves (3-5).
Christine Miller also scored 12 points and Shannon Sudon grabbed eight rebounds for Badger.
Dotti Plock scored 10 points for the Wildcats.
Jackson-Milton 55, LaBrae 37
NORTH JACKSON -- Shannon McGee scored eight of her 15 points in the first quarter when the Bluejays (4-2) took a 21-8 lead.
Julie Karash scored all eight of her points in the second quarter when the Bluejays went in front 35-21 at the break.
Sarah Johnson added 11 points.
Laura Bate scored 14 points and Mattie DiOrio had 10 points for the Vikings (1-5).
