Richard Roumfort named High Twelvian of Year



YOUNGSTOWN -- Richard Roumfort was named High Twelvian of the Year of Temple on the Hill High Twelve Club 720 during a luncheon meeting Dec. 12 at Youngstown Masonic Temple.
The presentation of a plaque was made by James W. Hill, second vice president of the state of Ohio Association of Hi-12, and John R. Selders, Temple on the Hill president.
Roumfort is a charter member of Temple on the Hill and first secretary of the club. He also belongs to Hillman Lodge, in which he has held many offices, is a member of York Rite and Scottish Rite and was commander-in-chief of Mahoning Consistory from 1991-92. He received the 33rd degree in Boston in 1987. Roumfort served as district deputy in the 24th District for the Grand Master of Ohio from 1969-71.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Aaron Ward and earned the Presidential Citation.
He is a charter member and secretary of the WACY Chapter of Construction Specification Institution. He was a precinct committeeman in Boardman and was president of Downtown Kiwanis from 1976-77.
He started Masonry Material Plus and was sales manager. He retired at 67.
Roumfort is an elder and Sunday school teacher at Christ's Church in Boardman. He and his wife, Marilyn, have been married for 53 years and have three children.
