Good thing comes in small package: Pa. man gives a car to his co-worker

SHARON, Pa. (AP) -- A cook who has been walking to work because he couldn't afford a car will get one after a co-worker drew his name in the restaurant's Christmas party gift exchange.
Dan Campana, a waiter at the Hickory Grille, who had lost his job as an outside salesman when Enron Corp. went bankrupt, had heard that Henry Norman had been walking or bumming rides to work and wanted to help.
Norman, 50, left better-paying jobs to move to Sharon to care for his 83-year-old mother.
At the party, Campana gave Norman a box containing a flannel shirt, hat and scarf, telling Norman he wanted to make sure he kept warm while walking to the restaurant in Hermitage. Then he gave Norman a small box, telling him it contained something to keep his feet warm.
Norman said he thought it was a gag, because the box was too small to hold anything for his feet. But inside were keys to a 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity that has 90,000 miles.
"I was speechless," Norman said. "My 50-year-old legs feel a lot better."
He'll probably officially own the car at the beginning of the year.
"Sometimes it feels better to give than receive," said Campana. "I want to do some good."
