XBOARDMAN -- St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park was the setting Nov. 8 for the wedding of Jaime Petretich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petretich, 6780 Leffingwell Road, Canfield, and Stephen Pontius, son of Steve Pontius and Marcella Pontius, both of 17666 Davis Road, Lake Milton.
The Rev. Richard Judy officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
The bride's white A-line gown was embellished with pearls and sequins. The skirt fell to a sweep train, and she completed her ensemble with a diamond and pearl necklace that had been worn by her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on their wedding days.
Rae Arcade was matron of honor, and bridesmaid was Melissa Morrison. They wore ruby gowns. Flower girl was the groom's cousin, Brianna Pontius.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's cousin, Clarence Pontius II, and groomsman was John Petretich, the bride's brother. Tyler Morrison was ring bearer.
Mrs. Pontius is pursuing a master's degree in history at Youngstown State University and is employed as a bartender at Rocky's in Austintown.
Her husband attended YSU and is a laborer for Akron Brick & amp; Block in Akron.
The couple are residing at 2501 Manor Ave., Poland.
