XPETERSBURG -- Candice Lynn Brewster and Dr. John Francis Kunkel, both of 711 Glacier Heights Road, Youngstown, exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Kenneth G. Hacker during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at St. John Lutheran Church.
The newlyweds received guests during a reception at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center at Mill Creek Park, Youngstown, then left for a honeymoon to Hawaii.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James G. Brewster III, 5645 E. Middletown Road, New Middletown. The groom is a son of Irene F. Kunkel, 426 Iowa Ave., McDonald, and the late William T. Kunkel Sr.
The bride wore a sleeveless, princess-style gown of ivory shantung silk.
Honor attendant was Teresa Fisher. Bridesmaids were Tonya Dunn, Janet Hua and Antoinette Noday. They wore black dresses. The bride's niece, Karissa L. Brewster, was flower girl.
Best man was Dr. Edward Pierson. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers, Dr. William Jr., Dr. Daniel and Dr. Thomas Kunkel. The bride's son, Cody J. Weise, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Kunkel attended Youngstown State University and ITT Technical Institute. She is employed as the medical-accounts manager with Dr. Thomas W. Kunkel Inc., Girard.
Dr. Kunkel graduated from Oberlin College and earned a doctor of podiatric medicine degree at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. He is self-employed in Kent.
