BOSTON -- Sam Cassell had 27 points and nine assists and Kevin Garnett added 27 and 12 rebounds as Minnesota won its fifth straight on the road. The win snapped Minnesota's three-game losing streak against the Celtics and also ended Boston's season-high five-game winning streak. Paul Pierce finished with 15 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds to lead the Celtics. Walter McCarty added 17.

DALLAS -- Antoine Walker scored 27 points and Steve Nash had 23 points and 11 assists to help Dallas coach Don Nelson move into sole possession of second place on the all-time victory list. Nelson, who reached another milestone with his 3,000th NBA game as a coach and player, has 1,111 coaching victories -- one more than Pat Riley. Former Raptors coach Lenny Wilkens leads with 1,292 victories. Antawn Jamison had 23 points, Dirk Nowitzki added 14 and rookie Josh Howard had 14 points and 14 rebounds as the Mavericks improved to 12-1 at home. Rookie Chris Bosh, making his NBA debut in his hometown, had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Raptors, who lost their third straight. Vince Carter added 21.

SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan had 21 points and 13 rebounds for his league-leading 20th double-double and the San Antonio Spurs held Memphis scoreless over the final 6:02. Tony Parker added 18 points for the Spurs, who won their seventh straight. Rasho Nesterovic added 10 and tied a career-high with 15 rebounds. Bonzi Wells led Memphis with 12 points. James Posey, Pau Gasol and Stromile Swift each had 10.
Clippers 109, Hornets 80
LOS ANGELES -- Elton Brand had 27 points and 13 rebounds as Los Angeles posted its first wire-to-wire victory of the season. Marko Jaric scored 14 of his season-high 19 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Clippers win their third straight. Jamaal Magloire scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half and had 10 rebounds for the Hornets, who had their four-game winning streak snapped. P.J. Brown had 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Baron Davis had 16 points and eight assists.
