Tarver leads Akron past Duquesne in OT

AKRON -- Derrick Tarver had 18 points, including six in overtime, to lead Akron over Duquesne 64-61 Wednesday night.
Duquesne (2-4) trailed by as many as 10 in the second half but tied it at 55 on Martin Osimani's jumper with 1:03 remaining.
Ryan Tricco hit a 3-pointer to put Duquesne up with 3:45 remaining in overtime, but Akron clamped down on defense and allowed just six points in the extra period.
Tarver had two fast-break lay-ups in the final minute of overtime to put Akron (4-2) on top for good.
Bryant McAllister led Duquesne with 21 points, Jimmy Tricco had 16 and Elijah Palmer had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Romeo Travis had 12 points and 14 rebounds off the bench for Akron. Rick McFadden (Struthers) also scored 12 points on 4-for-10 shooting from 3-point range.
Buffalo 79, Robert Morris 66
AMHERST N.Y. -- Yassin Idbihi had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Buffalo.
Turner Battle had 14 points for Buffalo (5-3), which stretched its winning streak to five games. Mario Jordan added 13 points and Calvin Cage 11.
Chaz McCrommon led Robert Morris (2-4) with 22 points, while Christopher Gooden had 16 and Aaron Thomas 11.
