Swiss drop criminal probeinto Manson's stage act
ZURICH, Switzerland -- Swiss authorities have dropped a criminal inquiry of Marilyn Manson, launched after a religious group complained about his stage act, reports The Associated Press.
The Zurich district prosecutor's office said Monday it found no evidence to back allegations that the musician had incited violence and breached Swiss law protecting religion during a February 2001 concert.
The Swiss-based group Christians for Truth had lodged a complaint about the singer. The Zurich prosecutor announced a formal investigation earlier this month.
Manson -- real name Brian Warner -- played another sellout concert in Zurich on Nov. 30, part of his ongoing European tour, and prosecutors questioned him in the Swiss city.
The 34-year-old rock star rejected the accusations, and the prosecutor's office said Manson was persuasive in arguing that his act is meant to provoke a debate about violence and religion.
Colin Farrell is 'unhinged,'his personal guide says
LONDON -- Colin Farrell's personal guide on the "Alexander the Great" film says he needs "psychiatric help" for his hell-raising antics.
Addoul Cherkoui says Farrell is "clearly unhinged" after seeing him drink 45 beers in one night, grab a few hours' sleep and then get up at 5 a.m. for filming.
Cherkoui also says Farrell drove Angelina Jolie to move hotels after he kept banging on her hotel door late at night, reports Britain's Channel 4 Web site.
"His behavior was often appalling and disrespectful," Cherkoui says. "He upset a lot of people. He is clearly unhinged and needs some psychiatric help about his conduct and drinking problems."
He says on one of their nights out together, Farrell got so wasted he ended up sleeping in the car.
"That night he drank 45 beers and they went down like clockwork one after the other," he says. "He had to get up at 5 the next morning for a long day's filming, but when I saw him back at his hotel the following evening he said he felt fine and wanted to do it all over again. He was completely crazy -- but that is Colin. We went out for four or five similar nights like that. "
Wynonna Judd losesdriver's license for DUI
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Country singer Wynonna Judd will lose her driver's license for one year and must perform 200 hours of community service after she pleaded guilty Tuesday to drunken driving.
Judd was charged last month after a police officer stopped her speeding Land Rover close to Music Row.
Police said Judd registered a blood alcohol level of 0.175 percent, more than twice the 0.08 percent legal definition of drunken driving in Tennessee.
General Sessions Judge John Brown gave Judd the choice of 48 hours in jail or the community service.
Brown said the community service option is available to any first-time drunken driving offender in Nashville.
