Summary of police activity:Dec. 9
Destruction of deer: A deer severely injured after being hit by a car at North Road and Saw Mill Run Road was put down by Canfield police.
Dec. 12
Drugs: The driver of a semi tractor-trailer rig, a 23-year-old Hudson man, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A passenger, a 40-year-old Youngstown man, was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dec. 8
Breaking and entering: Someone smashed through a window at McQuaids, 702 N. Meridian. Two men are suspects.
Breaking and entering: Save-A-Step, 4226 Mahoning Ave. was broken into and a man, also involved in the McQuaids break-in, was arrested. Police have a second suspect in both incidents.
Theft: A laptop computer was stolen from a classroom at Lynn Kirk Elementary, 4211 Evelyn Road
Theft: A tailgate was stolen from a vehicle in the residential 1000 block of North Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: A tailgate was stolen from a vehicle in the residential 500 block of Notre Dame Drive.
Theft: Pine trees were cut and the tops stolen at Serex, 55 Victoria Road
Breaking and entering: There were no signs of forced entry but tables were taken from the old Bango's, 1681 S. Raccoon Road
Theft: Lottery tickets were taken at the BP gas station, 3602 Mahoning Ave.
Counterfeit: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man is accused of taking $1,308 from Wal-Mart while on work release from the Columbiana Sheriff's Office. He was returned to the sheriff.

Burglary: Entry was gained through a sliding glass door at a residence in the 4000 block of Selkirk Road Nothing appeared to be missing.
Burglary: No forced entry was found after a burglary at a residence in the 30 block of Atlanta Drive. Missing were DVDs and a wedding ring.
Dec. 10
Criminal damage: A window was damaged by a BB gun at the Competitive Edge, 1739 S. Raccoon Road
Dec. 11
Burglary: A front door was kicked open and the house ransacked in the residential 500 block of Southward Drive.
Criminal damage: Lawn damage was reported at a residence in the 5000 block of Madrid Drive.
Theft: Tools were stolen from a vehicle at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road
Theft: A door window was broken at a residence in the 300 block of DeHoff Drive.
Criminal damage: Scratches on the paint of a vehicle were reported in the 4000 block of Falcon Drive.
Theft: Numerous items were stolen from Wal-Mart, and drug evidence was also recovered.
Dec. 12
Theft: $365 was stolen from Bank One, 4243 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damage: Four subjects broke body lotion bottles at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: An unknown type of semi-automatic handgun was stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of New Road.
Auto Theft: A 1992 blue Freightliner was stolen from the T.A. Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A right door window was broken out and a stereo stolen in the lot at Noday's Lounge, 3713 Oakwood Ave.
Dec. 13
Burglary: Two shotguns and a rifle were taken from a residence in the 3000 block of Brookview Court.
Theft: $13 in gasoline was stolen from the BP gas station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road
Attempted theft: Two juveniles tried to steal a woman's purse at Wedgewood Lanes, 1741 S. Raccoon Road
Aggravated Burglary: Two men forced their way into an apartment with a shotgun and took a wallet, cash and a cell phone in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road
Auto Theft: A 1990 Oldsmobile was stolen from S & amp; C Auto Sales, 3733 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Beer was taken from McQuaids, 702 N. Meridian Road
Theft: Beer was stolen from True North, 4200 Mahoning Ave.
Dec. 14
Theft: A snow thrower was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of South Edgehill Ave.
Theft: A coin washer and dryer were broken into in the 50 block of Westminster Ave.
Theft: A purse and its contents were stolen from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Whispering Pines Drive.
