BOARDMAN -- WYTV Channel 33 will broadcast the 2003 Progress Energy Citrus Parade, featuring Boardman Spartan Marching Band, at 9 a.m. Dec. 30. The annual Citrus Bowl Parade will be shown live from Orlando. It will be the fourth time that a Boardman High School band has performed in this parade. Boardman High School Jazz Ensemble 1 also will travel to Orlando to perform Dec. 29 in Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe at Walt Disney World.
Yoga, meditation vigil
SHARON, Pa. -- A 24-hour yoga and meditation vigil will begin at noon Saturday at Walnut Lodge Yoga and Movement Center, 80 S. Irvine Ave. A drum circle will begin at 11 p.m. Saturday to usher in the winter solstice. Participants may bring yoga mats, drums, prayer beads, Rosaries, or writing or painting materials.
