LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The teacher had one more lesson for his student.
Rick Pitino got his 400th career victory when Louisville beat top-ranked Florida 73-65 Saturday, yet another win over one of his former assistant coaches.
This one over Billy Donovan, who also played for Pitino at Providence, improved his record against former assistants to 14-1.

STORRS, Conn. -- Ben Gordon scored 28 points and Hilton Armstrong, playing in place of ailing center Emeka Okafor, pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds to lead Connecticut to victory over in-state rival Quinnipiac.

SEATTLE -- Ronny Turiaf scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half, then added another four points in overtime as Gonzaga beat Missouri.
Blake Stepp had 14 points and 10 assists while freshman Adam Morrison scored 17 points in a reserve role as Gonzaga (7-1) won its seventh straight.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Wayne Simien had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Kansas withstood a second-half rally to beat Oregon.
Simien, playing in Kemper Arena for the first time since he dislocated his shoulder in the aging facility last January and missed 22 games, consistently worked inside against the Ducks and played perhaps his best game of the season.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Salim Stoudamire had a career-high seven 3-pointers and Arizona stormed back from a 15-point second-half deficit to hand Marquette its first loss of the season.
The Wildcats (4-1) trailed 50-35 with 17:15 to play but outscored the Warriors 50-25 the rest of the way.

ATLANTA -- B.J. Elder scored 17 points and had two steals during a game-changing run early in the second half to help Georgia Tech beat Saint Louis in the Peach Bowl Classic.
The Yellow Jackets (8-0) continued their best start since 1989-90.

NORMAN, Okla. -- Freshman Drew Lavender had 13 points and seven assists to lead Oklahoma over winless Prairie View A & amp;M.
The Sooners (7-0) had what amounted to a breather after pulling out consecutive last-second wins over top-20 opponents Michigan State and Purdue.

STANFORD, Calif. -- Justin Davis scored a season-high 21 points and unbeaten and Stanford snapped UNLV's four-game winning streak, defeating the Runnin' Rebels.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Freshman Terrence Roberts scored a season-high 12 points, nine in a span of less than three minutes in the first half, to lead the Orangemen (3-1). Brandon Carter led Binghamton (3-5) with 13 points.
No. 25 Dayton 61, IUPUI 59
DAYTON -- Ramod Marshall hit a jumper with 40 seconds remaining, and Dayton held scrappy IUPUI for victory. With six seconds left, IUPUI's Odell Bradley launched a 3-point shot from the top of the key. The ball bounced off the back of the rim, Bradley came up with the ball and threw up another shot that fell short as time ran out.
