Prosser goes over 1,000 points

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Tanner Prosser scored a team-high 19 points to become the 20th Grove City player to score 1,000 career points, but it wasn't enough as the Wolverines fell to visiting Denison, 67-62, in a men's basketball game Friday.
Danny Hodgkinson had 23 points and seven rebounds for Denison (3-5), while Chris Hull added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Ryan Eller had 18 points for Grove City (3-4).
Malone 80, Geneva 63
CANTON -- Jason Hess had a game-high 23 points and 17 rebounds and Malone took a 45-27 halftime lead to pull past Geneva in the Hoops for Healing Tournament.
Malone (4-2) shot 53 percent from the field and out-rebounded the Tornadoes 41-29.
Chad Mraz led Geneva (6-5) with 18 points.
Women
ERIE, Pa. -- Ebony Allen scored 20 points to lead four Montclair State players in double figures in a 75-71 win over Grove City in a semifinal game of the Penn State Behrend Winter Classic.
Pam Barone (15), Vanessa DeFreitas (14) and Stephanie Machin (11) also scored in double figures for Montclair State (7-0).
Leigh LeGare had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead Grove City (3-3).
