DISTRICT West Branch gains first win

MARLINGTON -- West Branch put three players in double figures and posted its first victory of the season by beating Marlington 49-38 in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game Friday night.
Adam Martig led the Warriors with 14 points, while Nate Greenawalt added 11 and Ryan Casteel 10.
The Warriors (1-2) held a 28-27 edge in rebounds, with Martig getting eight. West Branch also forced 28 turnovers.
Marlington (1-1) was led by Nate Rogers with 11 points.
North Canton 83, Wilson 52
NORTH CANTON -- Bret Wackerly scored 25 points and Chris Saltis added 15 for Hoover (2-0).
Brian Scheller had 11 points for the Vikings, who took a 22-6 first-quarter lead.
Chauncey Whitlow had 21 points -- including three 3-pointers -- to lead Wilson (1-2).
