Members of the Mahoning Farm Bureau served as voting delegates during the 85th annual meeting of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation held recently in Columbus.
As delegates, these representatives of Mahoning County joined more than 340 farmers from throughout the state to finalize the policy issues that will guide the actions of the state's largest farm organization.
Members of the Mahoning County delegation are Marjorie Yerman, Milton; Tom Koch, Springfield; and Lola Ann Kurtz, Greenford. The theme of this year's annual meeting was "Built to Last." Among the key topics debated were line fence laws, drainage laws, obesity liability legislation and state meat inspection.
