17th District
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, succeeded in getting more than $12 million for 17th Congressional District projects into the annual federal spending bill. Here is a list of district appropriations for the past four years:
2004: $12.36 million; $3.77 million for the Mahoning Valley portion of the district.
2003: $4.2 million; $550,000 for the Mahoning Valley portion of the district.
2002: $1.5 million.
2001: $4.76 million.
