NORMAN, Okla. -- Freshman Drew Lavender hit a leaning shot in the lane with 1.1 seconds remaining to give No. 11 Oklahoma a 47-45 victory over No. 16 Purdue Thursday.
Lavender had 14 points and Kevin Bookout added 12 for the Sooners (6-0).
Purdue (6-1) nearly pulled out the win despite shooting 30 percent from the field.
Chris Booker's two free throws with 3:30 remaining gave Purdue its first lead of the second half, 42-41.
Bookout made it 45-44 after taking Lavender's pass from the baseline.
Purdue's David Teague hit one free throw with 11 seconds remaining to tie it, setting the stage for Lavender's off-balance shot.
Booker led Purdue with 12 points, while Kenneth Lowe, who entered the game as the Boilermakers' leading scorer at 17.8 points per game, was held to eight on 2-of-9 shooting.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Roger Powell scored 19 points to lead the Illini to their 20th straight win at home.
Luther Head added 16 points for Illinois (5-2), which scored the game's first 16 points, including six by James Augustine.
The Hawks (0-2) missed their first 12 shots and their first points came on a short jumper by Jason McKinnon 7:07 into the game.
Tee Trotter scored 12 points for Eastern Shore, which was playing its first game in 18 days.
Miami, Ohio 76, Wright St. 61
OXFORD -- Chet Mason scored nine points during a 17-2 run at the start of the second half to rally Miami.
Mason finished with 19 points for Miami (3-3). Juby Johnson added 18 and Tim Schenke had 17.
Seth Doliboa's 11 first-half points helped Wright State (1-4) to a 28-22 lead.
But Doliboa was held to just four points in the second half. Vernard Hollins had 17 and Alex Kock had 11 for the Raiders.
Women
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Shyra Ely had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Shanna Zolman added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, to help No. 2 Tennessee (4-0) beat Rutgers 59-49.
Dawn McCullough had 19 points for the Scarlet Knights (3-4) and Cappie Pondexter added 15.

RUSTON, La. -- Erica Smith-Taylor scored 14 points to lead five Louisiana Tech (5-1) players in double figures.
Rolanda Monroe had 10 points for Southern (1-4), which trailed 35-15 at halftime.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Sandora Irvin had 24 points, 18 rebounds and seven blocks to lead the Horned Frogs (6-0).
