12 from Wellsville face drug charges
WELLSVILLE -- Twelve village residents are in Columbiana County Jail after being arrested on drug charges by the village police drug task force after a six-month investigation.
Charges against the nine men and three women, ranging in age from 18 to 52, include trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in cocaine, with the exception of one person charged with a misdemeanor drug possession offense, according to Police Chief Joe Scarabino.
Because several more people are being sought on warrants and additional arrests are pending, he declined to release the names of the suspects.
Many of the suspects face enhanced felony penalties because they are charged with trafficking in school zones, Scarabino said.
