Family and friends join Raigers at anniversary event

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. George R. Raiger of Timothy Lane celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 22 with family and friends at the Saxon Club, Austintown.
The former Joan L. Ross and Mr. Raiger were united in marriage Nov. 20, 1953, at Belmont Methodist Church. They are members of Canfield United Methodist Church and are owners of Boardman Chair Rental and Sales.
Their family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Lee and Gregg Weaver of Salem, and four grandchildren. A son, John, is deceased.
Mrs. Raiger is a member and an officer of the Saxon Ladies Society Branch 22, and belongs to Keedawee Court of LOSNA and Miriam Chapter 278, OES.
Mr. Raiger served with the Marine Corps from 1949 to 1952. He is a member of Saxon Club Branch 30, Western Star Lodge 21, Aut Mori Grotto, Al Koran Shrine and Valley of Youngstown AASR.
