Poinsettia fund-raiser
CANFIELD -- The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center's horticultural department is holding its annual poinsettia fund-raiser. Poinsettias are available in red, burgundy, marble pink, white and jingle (red and pink) varieties. Orders can be placed by calling the school at (330) 729-4000, Ext. 1671, and may be picked up at the center's horticultural lab greenhouse, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. Walk-in patrons are welcome from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Flu vaccinations
YOUNGSTOWN -- Senior Independence Home Health Care is offering flu vaccinations from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Mahoning County Senior Center, 1350 Fifth Ave. The cost is covered by Medicare Part B, or is $18 for people 18 and older.
