Missed hearings
YOUNGSTOWN -- A judge lifted an arrest warrant after a local attorney, who had missed three court hearings, appeared in court this morning. Judge Timothy P. Maloney of Mahoning County Probate Court issued the order Friday after Atty. Ted Macejko Jr. missed hearings May 21, Nov. 4 and Thursday. The judge set a hearing for 1:30 p.m. Friday. The judge told Macejko's lawyer, John Schultz, the arrest warrant remained on his desk. Schultz and Macejko declined to comment on the issue while it is still pending. Schultz indicated the missed dates were related to Macejko's having to handle his late father's estate. Judge Maloney assessed Macejko $45 for the cost of the court reporter at today's hearing.

Glen Oswald was backing out of his driveway when his minivan was hit by a passing horse and buggy, police said.
