WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Iciss Tillis scored 17 points, and Duke won the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams despite getting just nine points from All-American Alana Beard. Beard took just eight shots, but had eight assists for the Blue Devils (5-1). Monique Currie, Mistie Bass and Jessica Foley added 13 points apiece. Cotelia Bond-Young and Tonia Brown had 10 points apiece for Wake Forest (3-3).

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Kendra Wecker had 20 points and 16 rebounds for her 26th career double-double for Kansas State in the first round of the Commerce Bank Wildcat Classic. Laurie Koehn, six of eight from 3-point range, also had 20. Nicole Ohlde and Brie Madden added 12 points apiece for Kansas State (4-2). The Wildcats won for the 11th straight time in their own tournament and got their 22nd consecutive regular-season home victory. Tyeisha Brown led Sacramento State (0-6) with 11 points.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- La'Tangela Atkinson scored 17 points and Kenya McBee had 14 points and nine rebounds, for North Carolina. Nikita Bell added 12 points and Jessica Sell 11 for the Tar Heels (6-0) Nicole Rhem scored 21 points for South Carolina State (1-3). Sell made all three of her 3-point attempts for the Tar Heels, who dominated the boards 50-31.

AUBURN, Ala. -- Le'Coe Willingham had a career-high 27 points and eight rebounds to lead Auburn, which scored 24 points off 24 turnovers by North Carolina A & amp;T. Marita Payne added 14 points for the Tigers (4-2), and Louise Emeagi had a career-high eight assists. Yanumbe Sherman paced the Aggies (1-3) with 22 points, and Shareka Glover added 17.
