WARREN -- Karen Murphy of Cortland has been named teen/reference librarian at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. She has a bachelor's degree in technology and a master's degree in library and information science, both from Kent State University. She had been an acquisition specialist in the library system's technical service department and has also served as a branch specialist at its Howland branch.
ACCOUNTING
CANFIELD -- Schroedel, Scullin & amp; Bestic LLC, a Canfield certified public accounting and business advisory firm, has added Joseph C. Marks II to its staff as a manager. Marks has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Slippery Rock University and is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years' experience, mostly in the Youngstown and New Castle, Pa., areas. He lives in New Castle.

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Hearn Paper Company, wholesale distributor of paper products, janitorial supplies and industrial packaging, has announced several promotions.
John L. Prest of Boardman was named president/treasurer. A Mooney High School graduate, he has a bachelor's degree in financial management from Youngstown State University. He had been a sales representative for the company.
Robert B. Reed of Austintown was promoted from new business development manager to vice president of operations. He is an Austintown Fitch High School graduate and has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo.
John H. Kegley of North Lima was promoted to sales manager. Formerly a sales representative, Kegley graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown and has a bachelor's degree from Geneva College in human resource management.
Lynn M. Sorber of Austintown was promoted from assistant office manager to office manager. She graduated from Campbell High School and has a bachelor's degree in economics from YSU.
Diane Tatarka of Lake Milton was named credit manager. Formerly assistant credit manager, she is an Austintown Fitch High School graduate and studied business at ITT Technical Institute.
