Health fair in Sharon
SHARON, Pa. -- A veterans health fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sharon American Legion, 1395 E. State St. Blood sugar screenings will be offered until noon to those who have fasted three hours, and free flu shots will be administered. Foot, skin care and blood pressure screenings, nutrition advice and information about prescription and over-the-counter drugs and cancer will be offered. The event is sponsored by UPMC Horizon and Mercer County Career Link.

Leadership program
John A. Antal Jr., a Department of the Army civilian employee, has graduated from the 12-week resident Sustaining Base Leadership and Management program at the Army Management Staff College, Fort Belvoir, Va.
Antal, a senior training specialist assigned to the School of Military Packaging Technology, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the son of John A. and Mary Jean Antal of Struthers. He is a 1987 graduate of Struthers High School.
Aircraft maintenance
Air Force Airman Jeremy P. Puskas, assigned to the 16th Maintenance Operation Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., graduated from the aircraft maintenance course. He is the son of Cheryl Puskas of Austintown, and a 2001 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.

Meritorious service
Army Staff Sgt. Justin K. Wickersham received the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Wickersham, a squad leader with the 58th Military Police company, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, is the son of Roscoe V. and Cathy S. Wickersham of Kensington, and is a 1993 graduate of United Local High School, Kensington. His wife, Duresa, is the daughter of Fred T. and Florencia M. Newman of Waialua, Hawaii.

Iraqi Freedom
Army Sgt. Matthew D. Bailey is overseas at a forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Bailey, a battalion re-enlistment supervisor, is normally assigned to Fort Bragg, N.C. He is the nephew of Raleigh J. Hampson, and brother of Amy D. Bailey, both of East Liverpool.
