RALEIGH, N.C. -- Scott Hartnell scored 3:30 into overtime to extend Nashville's winning streak to a team-record five games. David Legwand, who also assisted on the game-winner, scored after a Carolina turnover by Nic Wallin 3:14 into the third as Nashville broke a scoreless tie. Thirty seconds after Legwand's goal, Ron Francis scored his 541st career goal, tying Stan Mikita for 21st place on the NHL's career list.

DETROIT -- Pavel Datsyuk had two goals and two assists for Detroit. Sergei Fedorov scored a goal for Anaheim in his return to Detroit. Mark Mowers, Brett Hull and Kirk Maltby each had a goal and an assist for Detroit and Jason Williams and Brendan Shanahan also scored. Tony Martensson had the other Mighty Ducks goal.

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Backup goalie Martin Prusek stopped 30 shots for his first career shutout. Zdeno Chara had a goal and two assists. Daniel Alfredsson, Jason Spezza and Martin Havlat scored the other goals.

ATLANTA -- Martin Lapointe scored the go-ahead goal in his 700th NHL game. Joe Thornton had a goal and an assist for the Bruins. Rob Zamuner added an empty-net goal with 1:04 remaining, and Travis Green, Michal Grosek and Mike Knuble also scored for Boston. Marc Savard tied it early in the third period for the Thrashers. Slava Kozlov, J.P. Vigier and Shawn McEachern also scored for Atlanta.
Sabres 3, Blackhawks 2
CHICAGO -- Dmitri Kalinin and Maxim Afinogenov scored third-period goals to lead Buffalo. Daniel Briere also scored for the Sabres. Bryan Berard and Brett McLean scored for the Blackhawks. Buffalo goalie Mika Noronen stopped 22 shots, and Chicago's Michael Leighton blocked 25.

EDMONTON, Alberta -- Manny Fernandez stopped 34 shots for his first shutout of the season and Minnesota extended Edmonton's winless streak to six games. Marian Gaborik scored in the first period for the Wild. Ty Conklin made 30 saves for Edmonton.
