Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kopp mark sapphire anniversary on Thanksgiving
XSTRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kopp of Struthers were honored Nov. 27 at a family gathering for Thanksgiving in celebration of their 55th wedding anniversary.
The festivities took place at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Julie Kopp, also of Struthers. Also in attendance were the couple's other children and their spouses, John and Betsy Kopp of Struthers, Susan and Sam Ferreri of Poland and Christa Kopp of Poland. Another son and his wife, Kerry and Sara Kopp of Florida, were unable to attend.
Mr. Kopp and the former Alice Mirth were married Nov. 26, 1948, at Faith Lutheran Church in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from Conrail, where he was an engineer.
Mrs. Kopp wife worked at the offices of Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. prior to her marriage.
The couple belong to Christ Lutheran Church. Eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren complete their family.
