STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Jan Jagla scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Penn State to a 73-62 victory over Cleveland State on Wednesday night.
Jagla scored nine points during a 15-point run early in the second half that put Penn State ahead by 20. Marlon Smith added 19 points for the Nittany Lions.
The Vikings shot just 33 percent from the field. Pape Bandiane and Jermaine Robinson led Cleveland State with 14 points each.
Ball St. 63, Butler 61
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Dennis Trammell hit two free throws with four seconds remaining and he scored 22 points to lead Ball State.
Terrence Chapman had 12 points and eight rebounds for Ball State (2-0), while Bruce Horan and Avery Sheets scored 14 each for Butler (2-2), which lost its second straight game at the free throw line.
Detroit 76, Oakland, Mich. 60
DETROIT -- Elijah Warren scored 17 points for Detroit (2-1).
Rulon Harris added 13 points while Willie Wallace finished with 11 and 12 rebounds.
Mike Helms had a game-high 20 points to lead Oakland (2-5). Rawle Marshall added 17.
Wis.-Milwaukee 87,Prairie View 70
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- Dylan Page led Wisconsin-Milwaukee with 25 points.
UWM (3-1) had 37 points off the bench and scored 19 points off of Prairie View turnovers. Ed McCants had 24 points and Joah Tucker added 16, while Nate Mielke grabbed 10 rebounds.
Kevin Cooper led the Panthers (0-4) with 19 points. Tyrone Nelson and Roderick Riley had 12 points apiece, and Adrian Simmons added 11.
Morehead St. 65, Wright St. 60
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Chez Marks was 6-of-12 from 3-point range and scored 24 points to lead Morehead State.
Morehead State (2-2) also got 12 points from Quinton Smith.
Vernard Hollins led Wright State (0-3) with 16 points, and Seth Doliboa scored 15. Vova Severovas had 14 rebounds.
