Request by Hagan, Dann
YOUNGSTOWN -- State Sens. Robert Hagan and Marc Dann are asking the Mahoning Valley's Republican U.S. senators in Washington to try to persuade President Bush not to repeal the steel tariffs. Hagan, D-33rd of Youngstown, and Dann, D-32nd of Liberty, made the request in a letter to Sens. Michael DeWine and George V. Voinovich. They asked the lawmakers to invite Bush to visit the area to see the impact that foreign steel dumping has had on local steelmakers such as WCI Steel in Warren.
