McNees sparks win; McKee nets clincher

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Steve McNees, a 6-foot-2 sophomore guard, collected 24 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots and three steals Tuesday to help the Shenango High boys basketball team beat West Middlesex, 84-48.
Terry Grossetti added 19 points and Matt Norge had 16 points for the Wildcats (2-1).
After Shenango raced out to a 49-27 lead at the break, McNees and Grossetti each scored 11 points in a 30-point third period.
The Big Red is 0-3.

CENTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Ron McKee hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Warriors (3-0).
McKee scored nine of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, and Shawn Carr was in with 22 points and six rebounds.
Center (0-3) led 18-7 after eight minutes.
