CALGARY, Alberta -- Shean Donovan scored on a penalty shot in the second period, and Calgary stopped San Jose's five-game winning streak.
Jarome Iginla scored his first goal at home this season and Martin Gelinas added one into an empty net for Calgary, which earned 10 of a possible 12 points on a six-game homestand (4-0-1-1).
Jonathan Cheechoo scored for the Sharks, who lost in regulation for the first time in 10 road games (5-1-3-1) and just the second time in 16 overall (7-2-5-2).
Capitals 4, Islanders 1
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Dainius Zubrus had a goal and an assist, and the Washington Capitals dominated the Islanders again with a victory that sent New York to its sixth straight loss.
Kip Miller, Jaromir Jagr and Joel Kwiatkowski also scored for the Capitals, who became the last team to win consecutive games this season. Olaf Kolzig turned aside 25 shots.
Arron Asham had the only goal for the Islanders, 1-24-3-1 in their last 29 meetings with the Capitals. Garth Snow made 21 saves.
Washington (8-15-1-1) entered with the fewest points in the NHL but moved one ahead of Pittsburgh, which has 17.
Canadiens 3, Lightning 2
MONTREAL -- Jan Bulis scored a power-play goal with 1:17 left in the third period to lift Montreal over Tampa Bay.
Bulis got his fifth of the season at 18:43, moments after Tampa Bay's Vincent Lecavalier tied it at 2. Lecavalier, held without a point in his five previous games, scored at 16:10.
Tim Taylor also scored for the Lightning, which scored just four times while going winless in five games.
Saku Koivu scored for the first time this season, and then assisted on Richard Zednik's go-ahead goal. Jose Theodore made 25 saves for his 100th career victory.
Coyotes 3, Devils 1
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Defenseman David Tanabe had a goal and an assist in the third period to lead Phoenix past New Jersey.
Tyson Nash and Chris Gratton also scored for the Coyotes, and former Devils goalie Sean Burke made 27 saves, including 14 in the first period. Phoenix won for the second time in six games (2-3-1).
Jay Pandolfo scored for the Devils, whose winless streak was stretched to four (0-2-2). New Jersey has a tie and a loss since a 13-game unbeaten streak that tied the team record. Maple Leafs 5, Rangers 4
TORONTO -- Owen Nolan scored the go-ahead goal and Joe Nieuwendyk had a goal and two assists to lead Toronto to its sixth straight victory.
Mats Sundin, Matt Stajan and Mikael Renberg also scored for the Maple Leafs, who beat the Rangers in New York on Sunday night.
Sundin made it 5-3 with 6:56 left but New York's Anson Carter scored 32 seconds later.
Rangers captain Mark Messier was lost for the game after he bumped legs with an official and sustained a charley horse during the second period.
Brian Leetch, Chris Simon and Bobby Holik scored first-period goals for the Rangers, who had a four-game unbeaten streak before playing the Maple Leafs.
Blues 4, Kings 1
ST. LOUIS -- Power-play goals by Keith Tkachuk and Dallas Drake in the first period powered St. Louis.
The Blues killed off three penalties to win for the sixth time in seven home games. St. Louis is 8-2 at home. The Blues rank first in the NHL in penalty-killing at home, having allowed just two power-play goals.
Tkachuk, who skated in his 800th NHL game, scored his 13th goal of the season and for the eighth time in nine games. Drake added an empty-net goal.
