Public library plans two sessions on using Grant Center resources



YOUNGSTOWN -- Reservations are being taken for two Grant Center programs.
"Getting Started with FC Search," is at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County's Main Library Meeting Room, 305 Wick Ave.
The program is an introductory session for those wishing to learn to use FC Search, the Foundation Center's Database on CD-ROM. This database is available in the Grant Center, which is part of the Information Services Department at Main Library.
"Grant-seeking Basics: An Orientation to the Funding Research Process" is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the meeting room. The program is a basic orientation to the Grant Center collection. The program is for representatives of nonprofit organizations new to the process and who want to know more about the library's resources or for previous participants who would like a refresher.
The orientation is free and open to representatives from nonprofit organizations seeking information on funding sources and fund raising.
Reservations can be place by calling (330) 744-8636, and pressing "2" at the phone prompt for "reference information."
