238 from Vienna air station to be activated

VIENNA -- Members of the Air Force Reserve 910th Airlift Wing's 773rd Airlift Squadron, the 910th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and support personnel are scheduled to be activated this week to support the nation's war on terrorism.
The 238 members called to active duty for a year are slated to receive training over the next few weeks while awaiting deployment orders and are not expected to be deployed until after the Christmas holiday season, according to Staff Sgt. Shawn David McCowan, with the 910th public affairs office.
The 773rd is one of two C-130 airlift squadrons assigned to the 910th, the primary mission of which is to deliver personnel and cargo.
The other squadron is the 757th, members of which were activated in February and are serving at Ramstein Air Base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Joint Forge, a NATO-led stabilization force supporting peacekeeping operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
