Slow start hurts Kennedy Catholic in loss

FARRELL -- Joe Jones scored 18 points as the Erie Prep High boys basketball team used a 20-8 second quarter advantage to pull past Kennedy Catholic, 61-59, in Saturday's Farrell Tipoff Tournament.
Billy Scholz added 17 points for Erie (1-0).
Sharon Summerville had 13 points and nine rebounds for Kennedy Catholic (0-1).
Roddy Fuller added 15 points and David Jackson had 12 for the Golden Eagles. Brandon Mirizio had five points and six assists.
