Six turnovers hurt Southern Illinois in a double-digit loss to Delaware.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Freshman quarterback Justin Haddix threw three first-half touchdown passes and defending champion Western Kentucky beat Jacksonville State 45-7 Saturday in the first round of the Division I-AA playoffs.
Haddix also had a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter as the Hilltoppers (9-3) won for the sixth time in seven games.
Western Kentucky will play at Wofford in next week's quarterfinals.
W. Illinois 43, Montana 40, 2OT
MISSOULA, Mont. -- Russ Michna passed for 375 yards and two touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass, and Justin Langan's fifth field goal lifted Western Illinois to a double-overtime victory over Montana.
Langan kicked field goals of 31, 26, 46, 25 and hit a 23-yarder in the second overtime for No. 10 Western Illinois (9-3), which meets Colgate (13-0) next Saturday in the quarterfinals.
Chris Snyder made four field goals for Montana (9-4), and set a I-AA career scoring record, but his fifth field goal attempt was blocked after Langan made the score 43-40. Snyder also had four extra points and finished his career with 394 points. The old mark of 385 was set by Marty Zendejas, who played for Nevada from 1984-87.
Wofford 31,North Carolina A & amp;T 10
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Quarterback Jeff Zolman ran for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and Wofford earned its first postseason victory in 33 years despite failing to complete a pass.
The Terriers (11-1) got all of their 370 yards on the ground. They threw only two passes -- both were incomplete.
Zolman's 44-yard run -- his second of the game -- in the third quarter set up his first touchdown, a 5-yard burst into the end zone to put the Terriers ahead 17-0.
Delaware 48, S Illinois 7
NEWARK, Del. -- Germaine Bennett ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and Delaware scored 27 first-quarter points to breeze past Southern Illinois. Making its first appearance in the I-AA playoffs since winning the national championship in 1983, Southern Illinois (10-2) committed six turnovers and yielded a touchdown on a blocked punt.
Southern Illinois twice lost fumbles in the opening four minutes and trailed 27-0 after the first quarter. The Salukis allowed only 28 first-quarter points in their previous 11 games combined.
A swirling 20 mph wind chilled the 14,572 fans but wasn't a hindrance to Delaware's Andy Hall, who went 10-for-18 for 101 yards and two touchdowns. He has 205 completions this season, breaking the school record of 201 by Rich Gannon in 1986.
Southern Illinois quarterback Joel Sambursky lost a fumble on his own 26 on the fourth play of the game, setting up a 14-yard touchdown pass from Hall to Justin Long.
Florida Atlantic 32,Bethune-Cookman 24
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jared Allen threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns and Florida Atlantic survived a fourth-quarter rally to beat Bethune-Cookman.
Scott Austin threw for 191 yards and two scores for Bethune-Cookman (9-3), with Eric Weems catching 11 balls for 124 of those yards. Bethune-Cookman outgained Florida Atlantic 400-316 and sacked Allen six times, but couldn't overcome four lost fumbles, two interceptions and 16 penalties for 142 yards.
Colgate 19, UMass 7
HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Chris Brown brushed off the wind-driven snow and hit J.B. Gerald for touchdown passes of 13 and 30 yards Saturday to lift Colgate. The sixth-ranked Raiders (13-0), Patriot League champions, overcame a driving snow that pelted Andy Kerr Stadium throughout the first half and extended their winning streak to 19 games.
