Flyers 5, Islanders 1
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- John LeClair had a goal and an assist during Philadelphia's five-goal second period, lifting the Flyers to victory over the New York Islanders and stretching their unbeaten streak to 12 games.
LeClair tallied a power-play goal 3:47 into the second to tie it at 1 and start the barrage. Mark Recchi put Philadelphia in front 1:50 later, and Donald Brashear, Simon Gagne and Justin Williams followed to send the collapsing Islanders to their fifth straight loss.
Maple Leafs 2, Senators 1
OTTAWA -- Bryan McCabe scored during a two-man advantage in the second period, and the Toronto Maple Leafs held on to beat Ottawa.
McCabe beat goalie Patrick Lalime with a shot from the point with Ottawa's Martin Havlat and Radek Bonk in the penalty box.
Rookie Matt Stajan also scored, and Ed Belfour made 24 saves to help the Maple Leafs win their fourth straight game. Jason Spezza scored for the Senators.
Ottawa, which lost for the second straight game and has just one win in its last five, was 7-1 against the Leafs in Ottawa since March 23, 2000.
McCabe scored with 1:25 left in the second period after Havlat (hooking) and Bonk (unsportsmanlike conduct) negated a Senators' power play.
Thrashers 2, Lightning 1
ATLANTA -- Vyacheslav Kozlov and J.P. Vigier scored third-period goals and the Atlanta Thrashers rallied to defeat Tampa Bay.
Atlanta snapped a two-game losing streak and took over first place in the Southeast Division. Tampa Bay is winless in four games (0-2-2) and hasn't won in its last five trips to Philips Arena dating to March of 2001.
Tampa Bay's Dan Boyle opened the scoring at 11:23 of the first, scoring his second of the season on a soft, low shot that eluded Pasi Nurminen on the stick side. After going 18 games without a goal, Boyle has two in as many games.
Kozlov made it 1-all at 4:48 of the third with a blistering slap shot that beat John Grahame to the far post. It was Kozlov's eighth of the season.
Vigier scored the go-ahead goal at 15:03 with a deflection from in front of the net, his fourth of the season and the first game-winner of his career.
Canadiens 1, Panthers 1
MONTREAL -- Viktor Kozlov scored with 1:11 left in the third period to lift the Florida Panthers to a tie .
With Montreal defenseman Craig Rivet off for holding at 17:43, Kozlov scored his fifth of the season as Florida enjoyed a 6-on-4 advantage after pulling the goalie.
Kozlov hit the post late in overtime as the Panthers, who lost 4-3 in Buffalo the night before, remained winless in their last three (0-1-2).
Kozlov's goal spoiled Jose Theodore's shutout bid, and Rivet was booed every time he touched the puck the rest of the way. Theodore is tied for the league lead with four shutouts and has allowed one goal or less in six of his eight wins.
Canadiens rookie Michael Ryder scored for the second straight game to break a scoreless tie 4:12 into the third.
Kings 3, Blackhawks 1
LOS ANGELES -- Michael Cammalleri had his first two-goal game in the NHL and Brad Chartrand snapped a 33-game scoring drought with a short-handed goal, leading the Los Angeles Kings to a victory over Chicago and extending the Blackhawks' winless streak to 11 games.
Jon Sim had two assists and Roman Cechmanek made 20 saves, losing his shutout bid when Kyle Calder scored his team-high eighth goal during a power play with 1:07 remaining.
Chicago lost its sixth straight -- all on the road. It was the sixth time the Blackhawks have been swept on a road trip of six or more games, and the first time since Nov. 23-Dec. 10, 1988 (0-7).
The Blackhawks have scored no more than three goals in any of their first 25 games -- the second-longest streak in the franchise's 78-year history.
Chicago has lost 10 and tied one since goaltender Jocelyn Thibault went down with torn cartilage in his right hip. It's the Blackhawks' longest winless stretch since finishing the 2000-01 season 0-10-1.
Red Wings 2, Blues 1
ST. LOUIS -- Chris Chelios became the 11th defenseman in NHL history to record 900 points, and Boyd Devereaux scored with 2:23 left for Detroit.
Predators 4, Sabres 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Vladimir Orszagh recorded his first three-goal game in the NHL and added an assist, helping Nashville beat Buffalo for their fourth consecutive victory.
