XAmerican Legion Post 301 Auxiliary will hold a community craft and rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22 in the cafeteria at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive. XFirst Presbyterian Church, 890 Churchill Road, Girard, will hold a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be crafts from Servv International, and Michael Zoughbi will present Olivewood carvings. Also available will be a bake sale and light lunch.
XForum Health will sponsor holiday craft fairs at four sites. XN.E.E.D. will sponsor its second annual North Street North Pole from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and Dec. 13 and 14, at St. Joseph Church, 400 North St., Warren. Freewill offerings will be accepted, and there will be door prizes, arts and crafts and refreshments.
XSalem Memorial Building Association will hold the annual holiday arts and crafts bazaar from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the memorial building, 785 E. State St. Table rental is $25 for both days. The event will feature holiday-related items, candy and bake sales. Lunch room hours will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
XUnited Local PTO will hold its annual Christmas Craft Show and Santa's Shop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the gymnasium of the Junior High School, 8143 state Route 9, Hanoverton. XUrsuline Preschool and Kindergarten will hold its 15th annual "Once Upon a Christmas" craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Ursuline Center, 4300 Shields Road, Canfield. Admission is free, and the show will feature over 100 vendors as well as several raffles. Homemade baked goods also will be available, and there will be a concession stand. Proceeds will benefit the preschool and kindergarten.
FUND-RAISERS
XViets Museum will hold its annual holiday gala and wine taste, "A Taste of Christmas Past," from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the museum, 224 N. High St., Cortland. In recognition of Ohio's bicentennial, wines produced in Chalet De'Bonne Winery, Madison, will be served, and the wine maker will be on hand to answer questions. Gourmet hors d'oeuvres and a holiday punch also will be served. Entertainment will be presented by the Mandrake Players, Charles Mandrake and Marjorie Landfried, who will play authentic Victorian Christmas music and material. The cost is $20.
