Water cutoff warning

Water cutoff warning
CANFIELD -- Montereale Drive residents will be without water from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday while the Youngstown Water Department extends a waterline.
The department and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency say that after water service is restored, Montereale Drive residents should boil water they use for cooking and drinking. The water should be safe for consumption after it is at a rolling boil for one minute.
The water department will notify residents once the water is safe and does not need to be boiled.
The department also has lifted a boil order that was issued Monday for Gibson Road and Barrington, Grayson and Fairfax drives.
'50s-style fund-raiser
LISBON -- The junior high youth group at Lisbon First United Methodist Church will sponsor a "hop" from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7 in the church parking lot, 114 E. Washington St.
Teens will be dressed in 1950s attire, and visitors will be served at their vehicle as at the drive-in eateries of decades ago.
Burgers, potato salad, root-beer floats and homemade pie will be among the fare offered.
Proceeds will benefit the Berea Children's home. In case of rain, food will be served in the church's fellowship hall.
