XAUSTINTOWN -- Melinda Thompson and Brian Denamen, both of 2921 Tallard Lane, Charlotte, N.C., exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony at 2 p.m. July 26 at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. James Korda officiated.
Later the daughter of Tom and Vicki Thompson of Clarion, Pa., and the son of Rich and Marcia Denamen, 6905 Ruby Courts, received guests during a reception at Antone's Banquet Centre, Boardman.
The couple honeymooned in Aruba and are living in Charlotte.
Pearls and sequins accented the bride's halter-style gown and matching veil. She carried a cascade of white roses.
Mrs. Denamen attended Clarion University. She is a manager teller at Wachovia Bank in Charlotte.
Mr. Denamen graduated from Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, Pa., with a degree in computer science. He is a network technician with Associated Press in Charlotte.
Shelly Dubovecky of Pittsburgh, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. She wore an aqua gown, as did the bridesmaids, Paula Wilson of Pittsburgh, Karey Carr of Charlotte and Nikki Campana of Boardman.
Scott Denamen of Chagrin Falls, brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Dan Bokesch and Mike McMahon, both of Columbus, and Mike Stanec of Austintown.
