XLOWELLVILLE -- Katie Lynn Shuluga, 2748 Hubbard Road, and David Olson, 1233 Bedford Road, were married by the Rev. Gerald DeLucia at 1 p.m. July 26 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
A reception was held at the Maronite Center, Youngstown, for the daughter of Leida and Joe Shuluga of the Hubbard Road address and the son of David L. Olson, also of 1233 Bedford Road, and Gloria Olson, 5404 Southern Blvd., Boardman. After honeymooning in the Hawaiian islands, the couple live at the groom's address.
The bride's A-line gown was enhanced with bugle beads and crystals, and featured a halter top, sweetheart neckline, empire waist, organza overlay and cathedral train.
Coral gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Elizabeth Haddle, and the bridesmaids, Ashley Olson, Gina Lanzo, Cara Nolfi, Kim Camacci, Sarah Shevetz and Angela Tirotta. Flower girl was Taylor Olson, and miniature brides were Carmella Crozier and Shelby, Rachel and Georganna Norris.
Mathew Olson was best man, and groomsmen were Nicholas Shuluga, Joseph Shuluga, Matthew Bodine, Michael Musolino, Richard Palumbo and Jason Hoffman. Ring bearer was Derrick Crozier.
The bride is a kindergarten teacher at Eagle Heights Academy, Youngstown. She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from Youngstown State University. The groom earned a bachelor's at YSU and a master's at Westminster College. He is a financial services provider-registered representative with World Financial Group, Boardman.
