Gov. Taft taps local chamber official



COLUMBUS -- Gov. Bob Taft appointed Reid Dulberger, an official with the Mahoning Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, on Friday to the state Tax Credit Authority.
Dulberger, of Youngstown, has been appointed to the authority's five-member board for a term ending Jan. 12, 2007, replacing Charles Webb of Cleveland, who resigned, the governor's office said.
The board consists of taxation and economic development professionals from throughout the state and is responsible for reviewing and approving applications for tax credit assistance and setting the benefit level.
Tax credits
The authority also monitors and reports on the progress of approved tax credit projects. Board members are paid for expenses only.
Dulberger is executive vice president of the Mahoning Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Dulberger received a bachelor's degree from Florida International University and master's degrees from Georgetown University and Carnegie-Mellon University, the governor's office said.
