Ednies feted at surprise party for 50th jubilee

XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ednie of Hitchcock Road were honored Aug. 9 at a surprise party at the Lockwood House in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the festivities were the couple's daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Ed Fannon, Kim and Ken Kreps, and Kristen and Kevin Rast, all of Boardman. Five grandchildren complete the family.
Mr. Ednie and the former Dolly Lopushanski were married Aug. 15, 1953, at First Presbyterian Church in Saltsburg, Pa. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wasp and USS Mindora, and retired in August 1994 from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown, where he was an electrical expediter. He belongs to Boulevard Golf League and Eagles 213.
His wife retired in August 1994 from Sears at the Southern Park Mall, where she was an associate.
The couple are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
