PREP VOLLEYBALL Proud keys Ridge past Newton Falls

Steffi Graf helped lead Poland past Lowellville.
MINERAL RIDGE -- Larissa Proud had eight points and five kills, while Robin Zimmerman added seven points and six assists to lead Mineral Ridge High's volleyball team past Newton Falls 15-5, 15-9 Monday.
Lauren Bako added an ace for the Rams (1-0).
The Tigers (0-1) were paced by Molly Lenarcic with four points and two kills, while Ashley Hall contributed an ace and two kills.
Poland 15-15, Lowellville 5-2
POLAND -- Steffi Graf had seven kills, three points and four digs to lead the Bulldogs (1-0). Ashley Conger added 13 assists and 12 points, while Megan Mulligan had five kills, four points and two blocks.
Jackson-Milton 15-15, LaBrae 4-9
NORTH JACKSON -- Sara Jackson led Jackson-Milton (1-0) with 10 points and four kills, while Rachel Karash collected eight points and three digs. Chelsea McLeod had three points and seven digs, while Lindsey Higgins tacked on two aces and nine sets for the Vikings.
Columbiana 15-15, LaBrae 13-11
NORTH JACKSON -- The Clippers (1-0) were led by Whitney Goist with nine points, an ace and 20 sets, while Kylee Crittenden tacked on five points, four blocks and three digs.
For the Vikings (0-2), Laura Bate had seven points, two aces and eight sets, while Maddie D'Orio had seven kills and two blocks.
Columbiana 15-15, Jackson-Milton 0-10
NORTH JACKSON -- Kylee Crittenden led the way with nine points, an ace, five kills and three digs, while Cora Hardenbrook added six points and three aces. Shannon McGee scored four points, while Megan Whitmer had 18 sets for the Bluejays.

CHAMPION -- Velda Morrison had four aces, Andrea Armintrout collected four aces and nine points, while Kelly Meyer had nine assists for the Flashes (1-0). Heather Lynn led the Indians (0-1) with five aces, five kills and six points.

WARREN -- Lauren Teal scored nine points, while Sarah Hamilton had six points and Jill Barry two aces for the Quakers.

STRUTHERS -- Angela Monico picked up three kills, Amanda Cavanaugh had five assists, while Brittney Varga scored eight points for the Wildcats (1-2). Campbell is 0-1.
Sebring 15-15, Cardinal Mooney 7-9
SEBRING -- Erika Eaton led the Trojans to victory with 10 points, 18 sets, five assists and three kills.
South Range 4-15-15, East Palestine 15-8-12
EAST PALESTINE -- Jodi James had 12 kills and six blocks, Jess Toth 17 points and seven digs and Kelly Skrinyer 12 assists and four points to lead the Raiders.
Brookfield 15-9-15, South Range 13-15-13
EAST PALESTINE -- The Raiders fell to 1-1 with their loss to Brookfield. Toth had 10 digs and seven kills, James 10 digs, 14 kills and six blocks and Skrinyer 15 assists.
