NFL ROUNDUP | Training camp news and notes

Colts 28, Broncos 23: Payton Manning had two touchdown passes in the first half, then threw a key block to set up another score. Manning threw touchdown passes to Dallas Clark and Brian Allen in the first half, then was the lead blocker on a 16-yard double reverse by Marvin Harrison on the Colts' first drive of the third quarter. Manning finished 15-for-22 for 157 yards. Denver quarterback Jake Plummer fumbled his first snap, threw a pass that Colts linebacker Gary Brackett should have intercepted, and missed a wide-open Ed McCaffrey on what would have been an 18-yard touchdown. And that was just on the first drive. Plummer was 15-for-22 for 205 yards before being replaced by Steve Beuerlein midway through the third quarter.
Bengals: Seven players were released and wide receiver Marquise Walker was acquired on waivers from the Cardinals. Cincinnati's roster was reduced to 67 players, one short of meeting the NFL deadline to have 66 players by 4 p.m. today.
